Originally built over a century ago with a facade resembling a medieval castle, the estate at  546 Lake Ave., Greenwich is on the market for $7.995 million. 

According to the listing, the 7,456-square-foot residence was built in 1903. Known as Chadeline, the fieldstone Tudor-style English manor underwent a full modern renovation in 2025, adding refined contemporary finishes while retaining original details. The residence has a stone exterior, tile roof, soaring ceilings and dramatic stone archways. Chadeline appears in the Greenwich Historical Society’s Greenwich Landmarks Registry, which recognizes historically or architecturally significant buildings in the town.

The main house includes a chef’s kitchen, adjoining family room, dining room, library and finished walk-out lower level with laundry and spa facilities, including a sauna. It has six bedrooms, six full bathrooms and one half bath. The estate also includes a separate two-bedroom guest cottage with its own gourmet kitchen.

The 2.83-acre grounds are framed by stone walls and set along Horseneck Brook near Spahn Pond, with cascading waterfalls, a dock, a tennis court and a heated in-ground pool.

In addition to its Compass sales listing, the property is marketed by luxury-travel company Cuvée as a private rental called “Castle Chadeline.” Pricing is available upon inquiry.

Real estate tracking firm Redfin reported a median sale price of about $2.57 million for homes in the property’s 06830 ZIP code during the three months ending in May 2026, up 43% from the same period a year earlier. Redfin describes the market as very competitive, with typical homes selling for about 1% above the asking price and going pending in roughly 32 days. The hottest homes can sell for about 8% above asking and go pending in around 13 days.
