Caitlin Clark Listed as Probable vs. Connecticut Sun
The Fever announced Tuesday that Clark is listed as probable with a back injury for Wednesday's game against the Sun. The team's injury report also listed veteran forward Damiris Dantas as out because of a left knee injury.
The update continues a positive trend for Clark, who has steadily worked her way back after missing time earlier this month. She has appeared in each of Indiana's last five games and hasn't shown many signs that the injury is limiting her on the floor.
Clark is coming off a 17-point, seven-assist performance in Saturday's 108-88 victory over the defending champion New York Liberty. Just one night earlier, she authored one of the greatest individual performances in WNBA history, finishing with 45 points and 10 assists against the Seattle Storm to become the first player ever to record a 45-point, 10-assist game.
Fever Hoping to Continue Winning Streak
Indiana enters Wednesday's contest having won two straight games and four of its last five. Clark has been the catalyst, averaging 20.7 points and 7.8 assists per game this season while continuing to rank among the WNBA's premier playmakers.
Wednesday's matchup also allows the Fever to strengthen their position in the standings against a Connecticut team that sits at 7-19 entering the contest. Although the Sun have struggled throughout the season, Indiana knows it cannot overlook a division opponent as the playoff race tightens across the league.
Tipoff between the Fever and Sun is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The game will be televised nationally on USA Network.
