The NFL's annual Top 100 list sparked controversy this week when Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix (No. 59) ranked higher than Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (No. 69), a two-time NFL MVP.
Each year, NFL Network has players rank their Top 20 players, then the network uses the results from those surveys to formulate a Top 100 list. Nix apparently received more Top 20 votes than Jackson ahead of the 2026 campaign.
The ranking has ignited a hot debate in the sports world, with Colin Cowherd of Fox Sports saying he'd take Nix over Jackson in a come-from-behind fourth-quarter scenario.
Former Broncos defensive lineman Shelby Harris pushed back on the notion of Nix being ranked higher than Jackson during a recent appearance on KOA. Conversely, Ryan Edwards argued that the best of Nix might be yet to come.
The debate will be settled on the field this fall. Right now, all fans and pundits can do is argue and project. Once the games begin, the film will demonstrate which quarterback should be ranked higher in 2026.
