His debut in the Baratie Arc was already daunting, knowing that he took down the Don Krieg Pirates by himself. Rob Lucci's Design is Simple but Imposing
The Water 7 Arc is often regarded as one of the best in One Piece, and part of that is owed to Rob Lucci. Initially posing as allies to the Straw Hats and Iceburg, he and the other CP9 agents reveal their true purpose as assassins. Lucci serves as the biggest obstacle throughout the saga, overwhelming and pushing Luffy beyond his limits.
Rob Lucci quickly became a noteworthy threat to the Straw Hat Pirates. His design mirrors his cold and calculating personality while masking his animalistic side. Before the timeskip, he wore a perfectly tailored black suit with a matching hat.
After the timeskip, he switches to a three-piece white suit, a matching coat and hat, and a purple flower pinned to his vest. Hattori, his pigeon, adds an unsettling tone to Lucci. His calm expression of his human form contrasts with the anger his muscular hybrid leopard form exudes.
Once he transforms, Lucci is far more imposing than his human counterpart, especially after awakening his Devil Fruit. His stoic personality is replaced by ruthlessness nobody could've predicted. His luxurious persona is a farce, making him incredibly complex and a wild card.
