2027 NFL draft: Pre-training camp one-round mock draft

All 32 teams are set to kick off training camps so we decided it was time to update our one-round mock draft for the 2027 NFL Draft. College football is coming soon and we cannot wait. In this latest mock draft, we only have two quarterbacks in the first round but with so much talent at the position, that could change in a big way as the season progresses.

1 - Arizona Cardinals - QB Arch Manning - Texas

We expect Manning to continue to develop as a passer and cement his spot on top by the time the draft gets here. He's a perfect fit for a team like the Cardinals who are desperate for early success.

2 - Miami Dolphins - WR Jeremiah Smith - Ohio State

We are willing to give Malik Willis a pass as of now if the Dolphins end up picking No. 2 overall and instead of drafting his replacement here, we go with Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith to give him an elite weapon.

3 - New York Jets - QB Dante Moore - Oregon

The Jets continue to scramble for a quarterback but land a future star here with Oregon's Dante Moore who is one of the most electric players in the country.

4 - Cleveland Browns - EDGE Dylan Stewart - South Carolina

The Browns have to replace Myles Garrett and take a swing here with Stewart, who is practically unblockable when he's focused and on his game.

5 - Las Vegas Raiders - WR Cam Coleman - Texas

The Raiders are going to want to build around Fernando Mendoza as quickly they can and while we went with Cam Coleman here, this No. 2 wide receiver spot is going to be highly contested.

6 - Atlanta Falcons - OT Jordan Seaton - LSU

The Falcons have to give Michael Penix Jr. some time at quarterback and the best thing they can do is give him an elite pass protector like Seaton.

7 - Tennessee Titans - EDGE Colin Simmons - Texas

The Titans opted for a wide receiver in the first round last season to help Cam Ward and this time around it's dominant edge defender Colin Simmons to bolster a struggling pass rush.

8 - Carolina Panthers - CB Leonard Moore - Notre Dame

The Panthers could go any number of directions here but Moore is the blue-chip cornerback in this draft and an easy pick.

9 - New Orleans Saints - EDGE Quincy Rhodes Jr. - Arkansas

This is early for Rhodes at this point but we are counting on him putting together a big 2026 season and cementing his spot among the top pass rushers in the draft.

10 - New York Giants - S Tae Johnson - Notre Dame

The other half of the Notre Dame defensive back tandem goes two picks after Moore and the Giants get an absolute ballhawk in the secondary.

11 - Washington Commanders - WR Omarion Miller - Arizona State

We like Antonio Williams but the Commanders definitely need an upgrade over Treylon Burkes. Miller got overshadowed at ASU and is a full breakout candidate this season.

12 - New York Jets - DT David Stone - Oklahoma

Stone doesn't fit the typical mold of an inside/outside defensive lineman but he can dominate from anywhere on the defensive line.

13 - Minnesota Vikings - OT Trevor Goosby - Texas

We considered going back here with Kewan Lacy on the board, but as of now, Goosby is the clear-cut one of the best offensive linemen in the draft.

14 - Pittsburgh Steelers - WR Ryan Coleman-Williams - Alabama

Coleman-Williams was one of the best wide receivers in the country two years ago and after a down season we think he will bounce back to be a true No. 1 NFL prospect.

15 - New York Jets - S KJ Bolden - Georgia

The Jets need pieces on defense who can create turnovers and splash plays and Bolden has the potential to terrorize opposing offenses.

16 - Chicago Bears - CB Elllis Robinson IV - Georgia

The run on Georgia defensive backs continues with Robinson who can be a shutdown cornerback thanks to his elite technique and athleticism.

17 - Cincinnati Bengals - RB Kewan Lacy - Ole Miss

In recent history, there has been one running back who stands head and shoulders above the rest of the class and this year's version is Kewan Lacy. The Bengals have struggled at running back for years and have to make this pick.

18 - Jacksonville Jaguars - LB Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa - Notre Dame

Viliamu-Asa isn't a household name yet but he will be soon with his all-around skillset and elite athleticism.

19 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers - TE Jamari Johnson - Oregon

If the Bucs lose Baker Mayfield, this pick turns immediately to quarterback but for now, we go for Johnson, who is an elite playmaker at tight end.

20 - Denver Broncos - DT A'Mauri Washington - Oregon

Washington is a massive interior defensive lineman who just eats up blockers and swallows up ballcarriers with surprising athleticism for a man his size.

21 - Houston Texans - WR Charlie Becker - Indiana

Becker promises to be the next great Indiana wide receiver and is already one of the best deep threats in all of college football. If he is as good as we expect, he will be long gone by this pick.

22 - Philadelphia Eagles - DT Ahmad Moten Jr. - Miami

The Eagles can never get enough big, athletic bodies in the trenches so Moten makes perfect sense here.

23 - Detroit Lions - EDGE Kenyatta Jackson Jr. - Ohio State

The Buckeyes churn out defensive stars and Jackson is the next man up. He looks like he was built in a lab and plays with incredible burst for a big man.

24 - Los Angeles Chargers - WR Wyatt Young - Oklahoma

The Chargers finally commit to an elite receiver for quarterback Justin Herbert by landing Wyatt Young.

25 - New England Patriots - OG Austin Siereveld - Ohio State

The Patriots land the top interior offensive lineman in the draft with Austin Siereveld who fits exactly with what HC Mike Vrabel wants in an offensive lineman.

26 - San Francisco 49ers - EDGE Matayo Uiagalelei - Oregon

Uiagalelei is one of our favorite sleeper prospects in the draft and would have been a first-round pick last year as well. He's got elite size and length and is more than just a pass rusher.

27 - Dallas Cowboys - OT Carter Smith - Indiana

This offensive tackle class is questionable but Smith is one of those guys who has the potential to move way up draft boards if the Indiana offense can return to form.

28 - Kansas City Chiefs - QB Drew Mestemaker - Oklahoma State

We go off script here as the Chiefs look to bring in a true developmental quarterback as insurance in case the injury bug bites Patrick Mahomes again.

29 - Baltimore Ravens - C Kade Pieper - Iowa

The Ravens lost Tyler Linderbaum and got their replacement with Kade Pieper who has the same kind of upside.

30 - Seattle Seahawks - EDGE Princewill Emanmielen - LSU

This is a pick based purely on potential but Emanmielen looks like he has the physical tools to develop into a first-round pick.

31 - Buffalo Bills - DT Will Echols - Ole Miss

Echols is one of the guys we think can really move up draft boards this season and is an ideal fit in the Buffalo defense.

32 - Cleveland Browns - WR Ryan Wingo - Texas

The Browns finally upgrade their wide receiver depth chart with Wingo who fits the mold perfectly as an NFL boundary receiver with a complete route tree and exceptional hands.
