2026 THSCA, Victory+ Game of the Week schedule to feature eight Dallas-area matchups

Victory+ will be back in the high school game this fall. 

The North Texas-based free ad-supported streaming service revealed its 2026 THSCA Game of the Week schedule at the Texas High School Coaches Association Coaching School convention in Houston. 

The schedule includes eight of its 10 regular season games featuring teams in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Although the kickoff game on August 28 will be Humble Summer Creek at Alvin Shadow Creek in the Houston area.  

Last year, the schedule featured just three games with D-FW teams. 

"Last year, really wanted to try and cover as much of the state as we could," said senior producer Brian Smith. "We focused on rivalries, traditional big games and stuff like that. This year, we focused more on bigger schools, big names and we put an emphasis on high-level recruits." 

"We're trying to tap into the college audience and fans who want to see guys who are coming to their schools, who are committed or who are interested. There's a much larger base there, and we're hoping that that draws them in, and we can grow our audience that way." 

Last year, THSCA announced its presenting partnership with Victory+, the first of its kind for the state's most prominent coaching association, which has collaborated with media companies and streaming networks in the past but never gave naming sponsorships to said media properties before last year. 

"We are thrilled to partner with Victory+ to unveil the 2026 Game of the Week lineup," said THSCA executive director Joe Martin. "Together, we are expanding the reach of Texas high school football and celebrating the relentless dedication of our student athletes and coaches. This season's lineup brings the state's most explosive matchups and storied rivalries straight to your screen, giving fans, communities, and recruiters an unmatched, front-row seat to the future of the sport." 

In 2025, Victory+ was also announced as the exclusive home for the Texas high school football state championships with a five-year deal brokered by the UIL's marketing arm, Sports in Action. 

When looking at ratings from last year's THSCA Game of the Week, Victory+ says that the numbers heavily skewed more favorably toward games in the D-FW area.  

Smith says the brand's familiarity in the market, led by partnerships with the Dallas Stars, naturally led to more viewers from the North Texas region, as opposed to Houston where properties like Space City Home Network are more known. 

"We had two million people watching the state championship games from all over the state, all over the country, all over the world," Smith said. "But we found that when we did the game of the week during the regular season and the playoffs, there was a much higher audience when we stayed focused on D-FW." 

So far, there are no signs that Victory+ will expand its original programming further into the Texas high school football space. Last year, the network followed Frisco Lone Star throughout the season in a series called "The Lone Star Way." And Lone Star is on the Game of the Week schedule on September 25 against Melissa. 

As of right now, there are no concrete plans for expanding Victory+ programming into other Texas high school sports due to existing UIL media rights deals.
