Texas holds a 165-98 advantage in the all-time series. However, Baylor has won 12 of the past 15 meetings.

The Baylor men's basketball program is set to restore its rivalry with the Texas Longhorns in the "San Antonio Hoops Showdown" on Nov. 15 in a neutral-site matchup at Frost Bank Center, the schools announced Tuesday.

The two Texas-based teams will meet for the 264th time - and the first since 2024, when the Longhorns played their final season in the Big 12 Conference.

"The state of Texas has always been home to outstanding college basketball, and anytime you have two in-state programs like Baylor and Texas competing on a neutral floor, it's great for the game," said Baylor head coach Scott Drew in a statement. "We're excited about the opportunity to play in front of what should be a terrific atmosphere in San Antonio. It'll be good for both programs and great for college basketball in our home state."

Texas holds a 165-98 advantage in the all-time series. However, Baylor has won 12 of the past 15 meetings. Before Texas moved to the SEC, the two programs met at least once every year since 1909 as longtime members of the Southwest Conference and the Big 12. Of the 263 previous meetings, only 16 have been played at neutral sites, with the most recent coming in 2016 in Kansas City.

"We have an immense amount of respect for Baylor as a basketball program and Scott Drew as a head coach," Texas head coach Sean Miller said.

"We wanted to play a high-quality opponent knowing that we're going to challenge our team to the highest level, and Baylor does that. The fact that they are also from our state is icing on the cake."

Tickets for the event will go on sale starting Oct. 1, with a one-day presale taking place the day prior. Television designations and the game time will be announced in the coming weeks.
