The 2026 NFL Top 100 is getting to the point where we are seeing significant names come off the board. With Pro Bowlers finding their rankings, another key contributor found they rank 58th on the annual list. Despite having a strong season with mediocre quarterback play, he was able to show how he can be a difference-maker on the field. Let’s take a closer look at who it is and why they dropped almost 30 spots on the 2026 NFL Top 100.

Nico Collins drops 26 spots on the 2026 NFL Top 100

Nico Collins is one of the more underrated wide receivers in the NFL, but it appears the players appreciate what he brings. NFL’s Jeremy Bergman has been writing blurbs about the players on the 2026 NFL Top 100 list who are announced this week. Despite dropping 26 spots from last year’s list, Collins ranks 58th. Below is what Bergman had to say:

“Collins is back on the Top 100 after a third consecutive 1,000-yard campaign and second straight Pro Bowl season in Houston. C.J. Stroud‘s top target, the sixth-year pass catcher was as reliable as they come in 2025 until he missed the Texans’ Divisional Round exit with a concussion. Despite offseason trade rumblings, Collins is back in Houston and ready to uplift the embattled Stroud in a critical 2026 season. “

Collins had a strong year despite being limited to 15 games. He finished with 71 catches on 120 targets for 1,117 yards (15.7 yards per reception) with six receiving touchdowns. He also ran the ball twice for 15 yards (7.5 yards per carry) with a rushing touchdown en route to his second consecutive Pro Bowl. With the Texans trading for running back David Montgomery earlier this offseason, this should help open up the passing game a bit more and give Collins some better looks.

Below are the names on the 2026 NFL Top 100 who have been announced so far this week:

・60: Las Vegas Raiders TE Brock Bowers

・59: Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix

・58: Houston Texans WR Nico Collins

The 2026 NFL Top 100 is a list curated by the NFL players during the previous season to rank where they stand amongst one another. Each weekday, two names will be revealed on X with one at 10 am ET and the other at 11 am ET until we reach the top 10 remaining. At that point, only one name will be announced each weekday until all 100 names are revealed on Friday, Sept. 4. It will be intriguing to see how many wide receivers are ranked higher than the stability that Nico Collins brings.
