WWE‘s Bron Breakker clarifies the rumors about the injury he sustained back in February 2026.
Bron Breakker entered the 2026 men’s Royal Rumble match as the second entrant and was eliminated by Oba Femi within 10 seconds after a mysterious hooded figure (later revealed to be Seth Rollins) attacked him. An irate Breakker opened up the following episode of RAW, destroying everything at ringside, including flipping over the commentary desk.
Bron Breakker clarified the rumors about his injury
Reports indicated that Breakker suffered a hernia after flipping over the table, and he had to stay on the sidelines until his return at WrestleMania 42. However, appearing on episode four of the third season of Netflix’s WWE: Unreal, the former Intercontinental Champion clarified that he actually suffered the injury when he was screaming as his entire midsection locked up.
“I was supposed to destroy the set, get as mad as I possibly could. It had nothing to do with physicality or anything like that. It happened when I was screaming. My entire midsection locked up,” Breakker said. “I went to the back; we still had one more shot to do. I was in the locker room, and I was kinda like hunched over, holding my stomach, [thinking] ‘What the hell just happened?’
“Then I went to stand up to do the second shot, and I couldn’t stand up. My stomach was-I couldn’t come out of this [position]. Ultimately I went into medical, said ‘Hey, I think something’s going on, I think it’s a hernia.’ The doc took one look at it and [said], ‘Yeah, we need to go to the hospital right now. You need surgery,'” Breakker said.
