The schedule for the 2027 combined World Championships in Haute-Savoie, France has been confirmed, with more than 20 cycling disciplines and dozens of world titles to be handed out across three weeks in southwest France.
Road racing, mountain biking, track, gravel, BMX, paracycling, indoor cycling, esports and more will all come together for the events dubbed 'Super Worlds'
Taking place in various locations across Haute-Savoie between August 16 and September 5, this is the second combined UCI World Championships after Glasgow in 2023 and follows much of the same format.
One of the main similarities with Glasgow is that once again, the men's and women's elite road races will be held across separate weekends, with the men's race on August 29 and the women's closing out the whole event a week later on September 5.
The road races will be raced around Sallanches and Domancy on a mountainous course, with the junior and U23 races set to be held before the men's race. The time trials will be held in the week between, on August 30-September 1, with the mixed relay scheduled for September 2.
This is a significant change from usual, road-only World Championships, where the women's race is typically held on the final Saturday and men's on Sunday, with the time trials on the opening weekend.
The exact dates of each specific age-group race have not yet been confirmed, but the confirmed calendar shows all the days where medals will be awarded.
The cross-country and downhill mountain biking will take place in Les Gets, a regular stop on the World Series circuit, with the downhill taking place August 26-28, followed by the cross-country, which kicks off with the mixed relay on August 30, and then will see XCO and short-track decided August 31-September 4.
The men's and women's cross-country marathon races will both be held on September 1 in Samoëns, whilst the enduro and E-enduro races will be held on August 30 in Morillon.
Gravel will be part of the combined World Championships for the first time in 2027, as despite the UCI Gravel World Championships being launched in 2022, the discipline was not part of the Glasgow event. This year, however, it will be, with the gravel races taking place on August 26 and 27 in Châtel.
The track racing is the only discipline not taking place in southwest France, but at the national velodrome in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, starting with the junior World Championships at the start of the three weeks, followed by the elite racing and paracycling on the track.
The one major discipline not part of the combined event is cyclo-cross, which will remain in its usual wintertime spot.
