A 31-year-old woman was killed after being struck by a vehicle early Tuesday morning in Raleigh, according to Raleigh police.
Officers responded to the crash in the 2600 block of South Saunders Street around 4:40 a.m. Police identified the woman as Tyesha Parker and said she was crossing the street when she was struck by a white Honda Accord traveling northbound.
Police said the area had limited lighting at the time of the crash and that Parker was wearing dark clothing.
The driver remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment during field sobriety tests, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
