CLEVELAND, Ohio — Yes, chef, Will Poulter is coming to town.
The actor, who recently wrapped three seasons on “The Bear” as Chef Luca, will appear Aug. 7 at the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque to promote his upcoming movie, “Union County.”
Poulter will attend an advance screening of the film, followed by a Q&A with writer-director Adam Meeks and co-star Annette Deao.
Shot in Bellefontaine, Ohio, “Union County” is a docudrama about an opioid addict (Poulter) struggling to stay clean. The fictional story is interwoven with the experiences of real people playing themselves as they navigate recovery. Deao, in fact, isn’t a professional actor — she’s a real-life therapist in Logan County.
“I love getting to hear directly from the artists behind the films we show at the Cinematheque at the Cleveland Institute of Art,” said David Huffman, the theater’s new director, in a statement. “This type of Q&A is just one of the things that sets the Cinematheque apart from other venues in Cleveland.”
General admission tickets are $12 at cinematheque.cia.edu. Discounts are available for CIA and CSU students, and those 25 and under. The 6:45 p.m. screening will be held at the Cinematheque’s 300-seat Peter B. Lewis Theater, located at 11610 Euclid Ave. in Cleveland.
“Union County” opens in theaters on Aug. 14.
