Fan-favorites Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin and Al Roker were all missing from the Today show this week... just days after a brazen studio break-in shook up 30 Rock.
Viewers were quick to notice that the three stars were not on the morning show on Tuesday.
But not to worry, as Guthrie and Melvin's absences were simply due to either prior commitments or pre-planned trips.
Guthrie, 54, was away filming the first episodes of the Wordle game show, which is set to air on NBC next year, while Melvin, 47, is currently enjoying 'a little family vacation.' It's unclear why Roker, 71, was not on the show.
Sheinelle Jones and Willie Geist filled in for co-anchors Guthrie and Melvin, while Dylan Dreyer covered for Roker.
'Savannah’s taking a little time to film the very first episodes of the big Wordle game show coming here to NBC next year. We cannot wait for that,' Geist explained during Tuesday's episode. 'Craig [is] enjoying a little family time on vacation.'
Their absences come after an intruder breached the set and lunged at Melvin last Thursday.
He allegedly asked for Roker before confronting Melvin, hurling a racial slur. After being pursued into the building's lobby, he was detained by security and eventually arrested.
Andrew Truelove, 41, has since been identified as the suspect, with the NYPD confirming his arrest on charges including hate crime menacing, hate crime burglary, hate crime criminal trespass and harassment, according to Page Six.
He stormed the set of the show at around 8:57am ET, cops said.
Melvin returned to the air, with Roker at his side, at around 9:15am. Neither acknowledged the incident.
Truelove is thought to have followed a staffer who used their badge to get into the 'employees' only area,' Manhattan Assistant DA Millicent Kastenbaum said.
Melvin addressed the incident one day later on Today's Friday broadcast, assuring viewers that he was 'safe and sound' after the scary security breach.
'Just a quick moment to address an incident that happened yesterday,' he said after a commercial break, about a half-hour into the broadcast.
'You may have heard that, unfortunately, an intruder made his way into an unauthorized area here in Studio 1A. Thankfully he was apprehended quickly. He was placed under arrest.
'We are cooperating fully with the NYPD as they investigate the matter and we are just very happy that everyone is safe.'
Roker agreed: 'Absolutely.'
'Yes. Of course. We want to make sure you're safe,' added weekend anchor Laura Jarrett, who was filling in for Guthrie at the time.
Guthrie previously announced on July 16 that she would be missing from Today for a 'few weeks' while she films the new show.
It comes as Guthrie's mother, Nancy Guthrie, 84, remains missing since January.
Nancy was last seen at her home in Tucson, Arizona, on January 31. She is believed to have been abducted.
The anchor stepped away from the Today desk for the first several months of the search, but returned to her post in April.
