With college football right around the corner, conference rivalries are imminent, and Kirby Smart is wasting no time in establishing that. During the Georgia Bulldogs' SEC Media Day, Smart was asked about his relationship with new LSU Tigers head coach Lane Kiffin.
Smart was unable to answer the reporter's question right away due to not knowing a term in the original ask. Once he did, however, his quick-witted response sent laughs around the room.
Here's what the Bulldogs' head coach said about Kiffin at a recent press conference.

What did Kirby Smart say about Lane Kiffin?
During Tuesday's SEC media day, NBC reporter Chessa Bouche asked Smart about his "special friendship" with the new coach of LSU football. Bouche also threw in a question asking about what his group chat with Kiffin looks like, assuming the Tigers' head coach was a troll.
After asking for the definition of a troll, here is a video of Georgia's head coach poking fun at his SEC counterpart.
"Yep, that's him, but he would say I look like a troll," Kirby said. "I wanted to make sure it wasn't defined by appearance because certainly he is the Adonis of all college football coaches."
In Greek mythology, Adonis was a young man known for his charming good looks who was sought after by both Aphrodite and Persephone, according to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary.
Unfortunately for college football fans, Georgia and LSU do not have a 2026 regular-season matchup scheduled. The two coaches only have to share the field during a bowl game or in the College Football Playoff.
