One of the most famous couples to ever walk out of the Love Island USA Villa has split: Olandria Carthen and Nic Vansteenberghe, otherwise known by fans as “Nicolandria.” Although celebrity breakups aren’t surprising nowadays, some of Nic and Olandria’s biggest fans are wondering why they decided to go their separate ways.
Neither Nic nor Olandria has addressed the report of their split at the time of publication.

Are Nic & Olandria Still Together?
No. As previously noted, “Nicolandria” is no longer together, according to People, the first to report the news.
Why Did Olandria & Nic Break Up?
Nic and Olandria have yet to publicly comment on their reported split. In fact, at the time of publication, the rumored exes still follow each other on Instagram. So, it appears their breakup may be amicable.
According to People, a source noted the distance between Olandria and Nic as the reason for their breakup.
“The distance between them and their busy schedules made it challenging to maintain their connection,” the insider told the publication on July 22, 2026. “They still remain close friends. They share a deep love and respect for each other and will always support one another whenever possible.”
How Long Were Nic & Olandria Together?
Nic and Olandria were together for one year prior to their reported split. They met during season 7 of Love Island USA. Before they were officially coupled up, Nic was with former cast member Cierra Ortega, before she was removed from the Villa. After her departure, Olandria gave into her feelings for Nic, and they developed a solid foundation.
Upon leaving the Villa, Nic and Olandria had to adjust to the real world, where social media was buzzing out of control over their relationship. So, they decided to keep their romance away from the public eye as much as possible.
“Mentally, we were both just drained,” Olandria told Glamour in December 2025, . “I’m like, ‘OK, maybe if we share less, that’s better.’ But even then, discourse starts because we don’t share enough. I’m like, I don’t know how to find a happy medium in this life now.”
Nic echoed his then-girlfriend’s comments. “Being in the social media space now, people want to be let in, and the more you let in, the monetary gain is nice,” he explained, before adding, “So, finding that balance of, ‘Okay, this is our work now, but it’s also our life,’ was kind of hard in the beginning. But now I feel like we’ve got a better grip on it.”
