The summer of sport is in full swing, with the FIFA World Cup and Wimbledon quarterfinals all taking place this week. Most recently: France beat Morocco in a match at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough to make it into the first semifinal of the FIFA World Cup.
And as much as we like the footie footie footie lads lads lads, we're also interested in the players' lives off the field—including French captain Kylian Mbappé and his rumored girlfriend Ester Expósito.
But who actually is she? Here's everything you need to know about Ester, from her impressive career, age, background, and the story of how they reportedly met.
How did Kylian Mbappé and Ester Expósito meet?
It's hard to know for sure, but rumors that they've been dating have been doing the rounds since early 2026. This lines up with a photo of Ester from March, in the stands during the LaLiga football match between Real Madrid (Kylian's team) and Atletico de Madrid.
In April, Hola reported they had been on a date to a bowling alley in Paris, while the below pictures show them hanging out in a car together in Madrid.
By May, pictures of them on a yacht in Sardinia, Italy emerged, while they were also photographed hanging out in Ibiza, Spain, before the start of the World Cup, in June.
What does Ester Expósito do?
The 26-year-old Madrid native is an actor who has been performing since she was super young. She first started out as a teenager in theater productions, before landing smaller roles in Spanish TV series like Vis a Vis and Centro Médico.
The role that made her a household name was in Netflix's Élite, a series about three working-class teenagers who enroll in an exclusive private school in Spain, and are eventually embroiled in a murder.
She played Carla Rosón Caleruega, one of the wealthiest students at Las Encinas, and was in the show for three seasons. Speaking with Oprah Daily in 2020, she reflected, "In two years, Élite has changed my life completely.
"Even though I had already done two movies and participated in other shows, the success of this show has obviously made, like, a before and after in my career, where now people know who I am around the world.”
She has also been in shows like Dante and The Talent, and has some credits in upcoming series Baton and Death to Love.
She's also a model and brand ambassador, having been announced as Spanish fashion brand Desigual's global brand ambassador in 2025, and has fronted its international campaigns, while she also works with the likes of YSL Beauty and Bvlgari as an ambassador for their luxury fragrance, makeup, and jewelry campaigns. A quick glance at her Instagram also reveals her work with brands like Charlotte Tilbury.
