Focal has expanded its ongoing Mixed on Focal series with the release of Mixed on Focal #8, a new high-resolution playlist showcasing music created by engineers who mixed on Focal Professional studio monitors.
The latest installment includes 28 stereo tracks spanning approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes of music from 21 recording artists. Like previous entries in the series, the playlist is intended to highlight music that was mixed using Focal's professional monitoring speakers before making its way to home listening systems.
According to Focal, there are now 18 Mixed on Focal playlists available, covering a variety of genres as well as several collections focused on immersive audio.
The newest playlist features work from mix engineers Bobby Campbell, Darrell Thorp, Leslie Brathwaite, Nick "Squids" Squillante, Rob Tavaglione, Eric Stenman, Michael William Levine, Jose Rios, and Mike Pepe. The mixes were created using Focal Professional monitors including the Trio11, Trio6, Twin6, and Alpha Twin Evo.
The artist lineup covers a broad range of styles and includes Dylan Dunlap, Alexa Mansour, Siena Fantini, Alani, Rococo, Alice Merton, David Archuleta, Asking Alexandria, DB Bantino, dearALICE, Blu, Trueblood, Mötley Crüe, Unthreaded, MotorGoat, The Barbarians of California, Michael William Levine, The Church, Aleman, Aloe Blacc, and Fletcher.
The playlist spans Pop, Indie Pop, Electronic, Alternative, Rock, Metal, Hard Rock, R&B/Soul, Hip-Hop/Rap, Urbano Latino, and Singer-Songwriter.

Mixed on Focal #8 is available now on Apple Music, Amazon Music, Qobuz, TIDAL, and Spotify. While the first four services offer high-resolution streaming where supported, Spotify provides a CD-quality compatible version of the playlist.
Focal says additional Mixed on Focal playlists will be released periodically.
