MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — As areas across the state saw heavy rainfall, fallen trees, and downed wires during Tuesday’s storms, the Connecticut Post Mall in Milford experienced heavy flooding.
During Tuesday’s severe weather, Milford saw a total of 3.78 inches of rain.
A Connecticut Post Mall spokesperson said water accumulated in a portion of the mall’s lower level.
A few storm drains were also temporarily backed up due to the “intensity” of the storms, even though they were functioning properly, the mall spokesperson said.
A limited area of the mall was restricted while crews initiated storm cleanup efforts, but the mall as a whole remained open throughout Tuesday’s weather event.
All stores are expected to be open Wednesday under normal operating hours.
