Mel C's wedding to long-time boyfriend, Chris Dingwall, on Saturday reunited all but one of the Spice Girls.
Victoria Beckham was noticeably missing from her bandmate's big day in Cumbria as she was away in the US with her family for the 2026 World Cup. While Posh was unable to attend Mel's nuptials in person, she still managed to be part of her long-time friend's day in a very special way.
In an interview with British Vogue, Mel confirmed she wore a gorgeous slip dress with hand-stitched lace appliqué, which Victoria designed. Mel had worn another dress from Victoria's eponymous fashion label for an earlier wedding ceremony in Chris' native Australia, which Victoria lent to Mel from her own wardrobe as the bride's "something borrowed".
"I obviously offered to make her dream dress," Victoria told the publication.
Mel revealed Victoria used the original Lace Cami dress she wore for the ceremony in Sydney as a starting point. "Victoria wanted to make it much more personal to me," she said. "She found some gorgeous vintage lace, and everything was really delicately dyed to the perfect shade. It’s very flattering, open at the back."
"Melanie is quite minimalist and didn’t want anything too fussy, conceptual or overly complicated – this is all very aligned with what I do," Victoria explained the design, which featured a small train at the back. Mel's daughter Scarlet, 17, whom she shares with her ex-partner Thomas Starr, was there for the first dress fitting.
"Victoria was so excited about being able to do this for me, and having her and Scarlet there… every step of the way has been very special. Plus, I just love her clothes," Mel said.
The Spice Girls reunite
Mel's Spice Girls bandmates, with the exception of Victoria, were there to see her wed Australian actor Chris Dingwall at The Country House in Cumbria.
The bride looked lovely with her hair out in waves for the day as she reunited with Mel B, Emma Bunton, and Geri Halliwell-Horner. The four Spice Girls gathered for a group photo on the day, looking pretty in pink and pale hues.
Emma opted for a pink and white checked suit while Geri wore a white top and skirt, etched with a romantic floral print.
Mel B, who got married last year, arrived for the occasion in a sparkling mini dress. Scary Spice tied the knot with her partner Rory McPhee at St Paul's Cathedral in London in July 2025, which was followed by a ceremony in Marrakech in August, shared exclusively with HELLO!.
During the Morocco celebrations, Mel B reunited on the dance floor with her bandmate Mel C to belt out an impromptu rendition of the Spice Girls hit Holler.
"It was great to have my fellow northerner Mel C there," the bride told HELLO!. "We had the best time together and totally forgot ourselves and went crazy when Holler came on. We’ve grown up together, all my family love her and to share that weekend with her and her lovely partner Chris was so special."
Wedding details
Along with designing the bride's gown, an insider told HELLO! Victoria sent a lovely message and a huge bouquet of white flowers. After wearing her Victoria Beckham designed dress for the ceremony, Mel C slipped into a second dress later on.
The wedding was a low-key and intimate 3-day event which included a pub celebration the night before and a BBQ the day after the ceremony.
"Everyone loves Chris, he's so kind and attentive to Mel, he never leaves her side. All the Spice Girls and their husbands get on really well with him," the insider told HELLO!.
