The Universal Orlando Resort is bringing the silver screen to life through fun, movie-inspired experiences at its Florida-based theme park this summer.
Now through August, those who visit Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure can take part in exciting limited-edition experiences, including character meet-and-greets, fun photo opportunities and interactive activations, as well as an assortment of new menu items and exclusive merchandise collections.
At Universal Studios Florida, guests can visit an exhibit tied to some of Steven Spielberg’s biggest films, including the recently released Disclosure Day, as well as one centered around Illumination’s Minions & Monsters, in theaters now.
Jaws, directed by Spielberg, 79, can be celebrated by fans through a series of photo ops tied to the fan-favorite film, along with specialty food and drinks. A parks-exclusive merchandise collection featuring limited-release apparel, accessories and more is also available to shop.
Meanwhile, at Universal CityWalk — centered between Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure — guests can watch throwback Universal Pictures films at Universal Cinemark on select dates through Aug. 26.

This summer, various seasonal experiences also return on select nights, including the Universal Mega Movie Parade at Universal Studios Florida.
It utilizes more than a dozen floats, nearly 100 performers and special effects to bring films like Jaws, E.T., Back to the Future, Ghostbusters and Jurassic World to life, as well as Illumination’s Minions and Sing, and DreamWorks Animation’s Trolls and Kung Fu Panda.
CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular, a nighttime lagoon show, is also featured at Universal Studios Florida, and at Universal Islands of Adventure, the Hogwarts Always projection show takes place in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade.
At Universal CityWalk, guests can watch FIFA World Cup games through July 19 at NBC Sports Grill & Brew, which will feature specialty food and beverage offerings, live entertainment and more, and the theme park’s Summer Music Series will feature live band performances every Saturday night through Aug. 15 throughout CityWalk.
The fun extends outside the theme parks too. Guests staying at Universal Orlando Resort hotels can enjoy large sand sculptures at all 11 hotels that are inspired by popular characters and stories from the Universal Pictures catalog, as well as summer-inspired themed beverages.
Those staying on-site also get access to exclusive character meet-and-greets this summer at Universal Studios Florida every Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. local time.
