Police say they have arrested two teens suspected in the lethal stabbing of 19-year-old Benayahu Razi in a Jerusalem vacation rental earlier this month.
The suspects are a 16-year-old girl and an 18-year-old boy. They were apprehended last night as police continue to investigate the alleged murder, which took place July 11 in the capital’s Nachlaot neighborhood.
Razi was found with critical stab wounds and died soon after. A companion, who called police to the scene, sustained light injuries.
Six suspects were arrested in the incident’s wake, including three minors suspected of ambushing the pair and three women who police believe arranged the killing. Hebrew outlets reported that one of the women, a 19-year-old soldier, had a prior acquaintance with Razi.
Meanwhile, officers are continuing a manhunt for Avior Sasson, another suspect in the killing who is now on the run.
It is unclear what role the two teenagers are suspected of having in the killing. Police say they are scheduled to appear before a judge today.
