Tulsa Police is asking for the public's help identifying a person accused of causing thousands of dollars in damage to a well-known Route 66 landmark.
According to Police, the vandalism happened June 28 at the bronze Model T sculpture outside Cyrus Avery Plaza on Southwest Blvd.
Investigators said the suspect kicked and punched the sculpture before violently ripping off one of its headlights. The damaged headlight is now missing.
Officials estimate repairs to the landmark will cost about $25,000.
Anyone who recognizes the person is asked to contact Tulsa Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
