“Please let this TRUTH serve to represent that if they do this again, the U.S. will hold Iran responsible, in that the Houthis are a Surrogate and/or Proxy of Iran, and major military punishment will be inflicted upon Iran and, of course, the Houthis, themselves, who I am very disappointed with,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

The tugboat captain who plowed into a sailboat, killing three young girls who were on a summer camp, has pleaded guilty to manslaughter — as it emerged he was surfing the web on his phone rather than looking where he was going. Yusiel Lopez Insua, 46, broke into tears in a Miami federal courtroom on Tuesday as he accepted responsibility for using his cell phone while operating the boat with an obstructed view and without a proper lookout during...

Peerless in the NL, Dodgers have open road back to World Series

PHILADELPHIA – Clear your schedules for late October. Save up for tickets. Because the Dodgers are heading back to the World Series. MLS club embarrasses itself with horrid own goal in first game after World Cup hysteria

So much for capitalizing on the home World Cup buzz. In the first slate of MLS games since the end of the World Cup, Inter Miami scored an own goal to give the Chicago Fire a 1-0 lead in an embarrassing error. Miami, which didn’t have Argentina star Lionel Messi, came back to win 3-2, but it was still an embarrassing moment for the MLS immediately after the World Cup. In the 18th minute, goalkeeper Rocco Ríos Novo received a pass from defender...

Miles Bridges says he’s been to therapy after domestic violence arrest as Suns face blowback for polarizing move

Miles Bridges recognizes the obvious when it comes to his new start with Suns. For as his talented as he may be, there are plenty in the desert who are not thrilled with Phoenix acquiring a player previously arrested on a domestic violence charge that later led to an NBA suspension. “Like (general manager Brian Gregory) said, there’s mixed feelings about me being here,” Bridges said Wednesday. “I take full responsibility of my actions. I’ve been...

US deploys B-1 bomber as attacks on Iran intensify

The U.S. military used a B-1 long-range bomber on Tuesday to strike Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps targets in Iran, U.S. officials said. Why it matters: It was the first time the U.S. conducted a B-1 mission since fighting with Iran resumed 12 days ago. Using B-1 bombers, which can carry two dozen 2,000-lb. bombs or dozens of cruise missiles, signaled a significant escalation and expansion of the U.S. military campaign. The B-1 can fly faster...
