Track checks lead to disruption to trains out of London

Major rail disruption after person hit by train
The disruption is affecting services out of King's Cross, including LNER, Great Northern and Thameslink trains

Services are delayed or subject to cancellations and revisions, says a Network Rail spokesperson.

Train services have been disrupted after a safety inspection of the track near Hitchin in Hertfordshire.

Network Rail said the services running between London King's Cross and Ely, Cambridgeshire, King's Lynn, Norfolk, Peterborough and Cambridge have been affected.

Services have been delayed by up to 45 minutes - or subject to cancellations and revisions, a spokesperson said.

The lines have now reponed but the disruption is likely to last until 22:30 BST, Network Rail said.
