Surrounded by reporters outside the White House on Monday, border czar Tom Homan criticized what he described as public harassment of ICE officers.
Amid a rise in fatal shootings involving ICE agents nationwide, and scrutiny over ICE officers’ lack of body cameras, Homan offered a different perspective. Sharing his own experience and frustration over how he can’t even buy a quart of milk without a security detail, Homan called it “pathetic and disgusting.”

Speaking to reporters outside the White House for a press conference, Tom Homan spoke about what he described as threats and harassment targeting ICE agents.
Homan began by warning of ‘bloodshed’ before defending federal immigration officers.
“I said this a year ago. If the hateful rhetoric doesn’t stop, there will be bloodshed,” Homan began. “And, unfortunately, I was right. And I’ll tell you something else. It’s not over yet.”
He continued, “They keep attacking and miscommunicating what ICE does every day, calling them Nazis. Comparing ICE to the Nazi regime — are you kidding me?”
Homan said, “I’m afraid that we’re going to bury an ICE agent. I’m afraid I’m going to hand another folded-up flag to a spouse or a child of an ICE agent for simply doing his job.”
“I’ve said it a thousand times: If they’re a Nazi from enforcing the law, what’s that make them? They broke the law,” he said. “We are enforcing laws they wrote, and that they appropriate us money to enforce.”
Homan continued, “Guys, ICE agents are moms and dads, too. They don’t hang their heart on a hook every day to do this job. And it’s just not attacking the ICE agents, it’s attacking your spouses and children.”
He concluded, “No one knows that better than me. I can’t even go get a quart of milk at the grocery store without a security detail. Why? Because I’m enforcing the laws of this country. It’s pathetic and disgusting.”
Netizens Call Out Homan After Fatal Encounters Involving ICE Officers
Tom Homan’s comments come after The National Desk reported that, “at least nine people have been killed nationwide in encounters involving ICE agents.”
According to the report, “since the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement campaign began last year,” several individuals have lost their lives.
The report continued, “No one has been charged in connection with the deaths, and the federal government has argued that state prosecutors lack jurisdiction to investigate federal officers.”
Following the report, netizens took to the comment section of Homan’s viral press conference and criticized him in the comments over accountability.
“No Tom, it’s exactly what this administration has been hoping for since day 1 so you can unleash your forces on the people with ‘reason’,” one user wrote in the comments.
They continued, “You’ve already unleashed ICE agents to kill people and you can’t stand that Americans are protesting without the same level of violence.”
Another added, “Well Tom you guys are murdering people. Since the DOJ isn’t doing anything the only tool left is the people taking a stance against a tyrannical government.”
A third chimed, “Oh so an ICE agent’s life is more important than any other life. Don’t see him crying like this when one of his thugs murders civilians in the streets of America.”
