Three Prince William County high school students earned gold medals at the fifth annual Prince William Area NAACP Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological, and Scientific Olympics.
These students will represent PWCS on the national stage at the 117th NAACP National Convention in Chicago this month.
The winners were:
Michelle Marfo (senior, Osbourn Park High School) – Mathematics
Corbyn Person (junior, Charles J. Colgan Sr. High School) – Music Instrumental Contemporary
Gabriel Hamilton (junior, Osbourn Park High School) – Original Essay
In addition to the gold medalists, the local NAACP recognized eight silver and four bronze medal winners for their exceptional performances:

Kamani Sellers (junior, Gar-Field High School) – Short Story
Kartyr Mainor (freshman, Charles J. Colgan Sr. High School) – Dramatics
