Impress your guests with this creative display.
Playing with your food is not usually acceptable, but there’s an exception when you’re creating a scene straight out of a storybook.
A creator on Instagram, @easypeasysnack1, recently posted a unique cheese grazing board display—and we love it. The creator frequently posts grazing board inspiration that’s playful and brings people to the table to indulge in all of the delicious fixings.
In one of the latest posts, cubes of cheese are turned into homes with slices of cured meat as roofs, and herbs and edible flowers emulate greenery around real-life homes.
The creator included some of the ingredients in the caption that made this vision come to life: “Miniature cheese houses rise across the platter with roofs made from cheddar, salami, prosciutto, crisp crackers, and delicate cheese slices. Tiny doors, fresh thyme, edible flowers, microgreens, pistachios, hazelnuts, and dried fruit turn every little home into a charming edible detail.”
The post received a lot of positive feedback, including 97,000 likes and 372 comments. “This is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen,” one person commented. Another person wrote: “Adorable but I wouldn’t even know where to begin with eating it.”
If you’re looking to impress your guests this summer, a grazing board is a good place to start, and turning your food into storybook imagery makes it even more fun to serve. Depending on what you have in your fridge and pantry, you can get creative with the foods and ingredients to create your very own whimsical cheese village grazing board.
While no specific instructions are included in the Instagram post, assembling the board with crackers as the base, then the cheese cubes, and small meat pieces should come first. Then you can add the garnishes and details to bring it to life in your own special way.
Fair warning: it might look too good to eat!
