The handsome protagonist of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders is getting a new figure, and while details about this stunning new piece of merch are currently few and far between, fans are already stunned by Jotaro Kujo's glow-up. While each story arc found in the JoJo's Bizarre Adventureseries boasts plenty of dedicated fans, Stardust Crusaders, remains a highlight, running in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1989 to 1992. The anime adaptation of this beloved saga kicked off in 2014, and viewers quickly fell in love with Jotaro all over again.
Initially serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump starting in 1986, new chapters of Hirohiko Araki's long-running manga series are now published in Ultra Jump. The ninth main story arc, The JoJoLands, began in 2023, following Jodio Joestar, an antisocial teenage gangster living in Hawaii whose only goal is to become wildly wealthy, no matter what it takes. According to recent polls, Stardust Crusaders remains the most popular arc in Japan, while audiences worldwide have pushed Steel Ball Run and Diamond is Unbreakable to the top.
New Medicos Jotaro Kujo Figure Revealed
Medicos has revealed teaser images of the Jotaro Ver. 2 figure, with preorders scheduled to begin on July 24 on the company's official website. More information, including the figure's size and specs, will also be unveiled on this date, though the first iteration of the figure, produced by S.H. Figuarts, initially retailed for approximately $89. Feedback is already wildly positive, with JoJo fans taking to social media to praise the figure's high production quality when compared to the first version, which maintained the manga style of the character rather than his more vivid anime style.
2026 has been a fantastic year for JoJo fans, as the seventh main story arc, Steel Ball Run, began its anime adaptation on Netflix in March, with plans to return in September 2026. Set in the USA in the late 1800s, the incredibly popular arc follows Johnny Joestar, a former jockey who is now a paraplegic and hopes to regain the use of his legs, along with Gyro Zeppeli, a former executioner who seeks to save a child on death row. The pair compete in the titular horse race seeking the grand prize of $40 million, but find themselves in trouble after discovering that the race's sponsor has a hidden agenda.
Fans eager for more merch and apparel inspired by the series are in luck, as several unique releases have been confirmed throughout 2026. Most recently, a line of pumps inspired by the Stardust Crusaders Arc appeared online, while Japanese fashion retailer GU revealed a collection of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure shirts in April. The highly anticipated Chozo Art Collection Johnny Joestar & Slow Dancer figure is also available to preorder via Good Smile Company until September 2.
Over the years, many well-known companies and brands have teamed up with the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series, including the luxury Italian fashion brand Gucci. To celebrate the manga's 25th anniversary in 2012, a Lawson convenience store in Japan was remodeled to look like the 'Owson' store that appears in both Diamond Is Unbreakable and JoJolion, and a special JoJo-themed train also ran in Tokyo around this time.
