My husband and I love winding down at night with a good show before bed, but the TV we had before never really suited the room.
Our home was built in 1880, so the bulky black screen completely clashed with the character of the space. It felt like this giant black hole that drew your attention away from everything else.
The S7SG completely changed that.
In modern homes, a TV is practically an essential, but it’s rarely something that actually adds to a room.
No matter how nicely a space is decorated, a big black screen tends to become the first thing you notice.
That's exactly why I’ve fallen in love with the Hisense S7SG, which has earned a permanent spot in our primary bedroom.
We chose the 55-inch model, which feels like the perfect size for a bedroom.

A TV that actually fits my home
What I love most is that it doesn't just sit there looking like a TV when it's turned off. Instead, it becomes part of the room.
The Art Gallery feature means I'll never have to stare at a blank black screen again.
There are more than 1,000 free artworks to choose from, plus you can upload your own photos if you'd rather display personal memories.
Right now, my favorite is Claude Monet's Water Lilies. It fits the look of our bedroom perfectly.
I also love that I don't have to commit to a single image. I can have my favorite artwork rotate throughout the day, so the room always feels fresh.
It really looks like framed art
The UltraSlim Wall Mount lets the TV sit flush against the wall, so it genuinely looks like a framed piece of artwork instead of something hanging off the wall.
The setup was surprisingly easy, too. I've installed plenty of TV mounts over the years, and this was by far the easiest one.
Everything I needed was included in the box, the instructions were straightforward, and I had it mounted in ten minutes or less. The magnetic frame snapped into place with almost no effort.
The customizable frames make it easy to match your space. The included teak frame adds warmth for modern, Scandinavian, or minimalist rooms, while white creates a clean look for contemporary or coastal interiors, and walnut brings a richer feel to classic or mid-century styles.
If you want the TV to truly blend in like art, choose a frame that complements your existing décor—the right color makes all the difference.
As a bonus, it's also a Google TV, so it connected seamlessly with the Google Home device we already have in the bedroom.

Beautiful when it's off (and even better when it's on)
The biggest surprise has been the display itself.
I can't get over how incredibly sharp and clear the picture is while still keeping that matte, art-like finish.
The Hi-Matte Display gives artwork a beautifully realistic look while reducing distractions from reflections, making every piece feel like it belongs in the room.
Somehow, the Hi-Matte Display makes artwork look incredibly realistic without taking anything away from movies or TV shows. If anything, it makes everything look even better.
The 4K Hi-QLED Color delivers rich, vibrant picture quality, whether we're watching our favorite series before bed or pulling up family photos.
With Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+ Adaptive, the screen automatically adjusts picture settings based on the lighting around us, so everything looks its best day or night.
The built-in RGB light sensor adapts the screen in real time to the environment, fine-tuning brightness and color temperature for a more natural, comfortable viewing experience.
Whether it's a sunny afternoon or a cozy evening at home, the picture always feels perfectly balanced.
A huge upgrade from our old TV
Honestly, there isn't much comparison between this and the TV we replaced.
Our old one was difficult to mount, stuck out awkwardly from the wall, and was impossible to ignore every time you walked into the room. The picture quality also doesn't come close to the S7SG.
What surprised me most, though, is how much it changed the feel of the bedroom. I didn't realize how much the old TV was bringing down the overall design until it was gone.
Now the room feels more polished, more intentional, and honestly much more relaxing.
I never thought I'd say that a TV could transform a room, but this one really did.

Final thoughts
For me, the Hisense S7SG has been much more than a TV upgrade.
It solved a design problem I had simply gotten used to living with, while giving us an even better viewing experience at the same time.
Now I get to enjoy beautiful artwork when the TV isn't in use and a stunning 4K picture when it is.
It's the best of both worlds, and I honestly can't imagine going back.
