Motorola has just launched its latest flagship in India, the Edge 70 Max. This device is unlikely to come to North America, unfortunately, but it is packing some really nice specs for the price.

The Motorola Edge 70 Max is sporting a 6.8-inch AMOLED QHD+ display, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, a 7,100mAh battery, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. That battery is definitely going to be good with that very efficient Snapdragon 8 Gen 5.

Motorola is selling this model with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage. It also ships with Android 16, which Motorola is promising only three years of OS upgrades and five years of security updates.

On the camera front, it is also sporting the 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 camera, with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 2-in-1 light sensor. There is also a 32-megapixel front-facing selfie camera.

A 7,100mAh battery with 90W charging

Motorola has finally jumped on board the silicon-carbon battery train, in a big way too. All of the Razrs this year use silicon-carbon, and so does the Edge 70 Max. At 7,100mAh, that should last for a couple of days on a charge. Especially since Motorola is using that efficient Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor inside.

When you do need to charge up, Motorola has included 90W charging and 25W magnetic wireless charging. That’s right, this is now the third phone to use magnetic charging without a case. HMD has a cheap phone available with it, and of course the Google Pixel 10 lineup also has it. Unfortunately, most other brands are not using it, or only adding it with a case.

Pricing for the Motorola Edge 70 Max starts at INR 54,999 which is around $570 USD. Despite the current DRAM and NAND storage shortages, this is actually a pretty decent price.
