Plus, financing up to 48 months

Samsung officially revealed its next foldables at Galaxy Unpacked, giving us exciting devices like the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Watch 9. And while you can purchase them directly from Samsung, you might be able to get a better deal by going through a carrier.

You'll no doubt see a bunch of promotions for Samsung's foldables over the next couple of weeks, so it's best to keep your options open until the official retail launch on August 7. However, if Verizon is your only go-to for carrier deals, then we've got all the details of its latest promotion.

Samsung's foldables aren't cheap

While exciting, Samsung's foldable phones have never been cheap. This year, the bar is raised just a touch more, with the Z Fold 8 starting at $1,900, and the Z Fold Ultra starting at $2,100. The Galaxy Watch 9 will cost $430, while the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will come in at $700.

So, what's Verizon offering to help with these numbers

You can score a $460 discount on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 if you sign up for a Simplicity Plan. Verizon is offering financing for this promotion, with a 48-month payment plan, but that does mean you'll be locked into Verizon for four years, so that's just something to be aware of.

Verizon is also offering a $420 promotional credit for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and will again require users to stick with the carrier for four years in order to claim the full credit. This promotion will also require users to either add a new line or subscribe to its Simplicity Plan.

Verizon is also offering trade-in credit up to $1,100 when purchasing the Galaxy Z Fold 8 or Z Fold 8 Ultra and signing up for an Unlimited Plus or Unlimited Ultimate plan. Each phone to trade in will have a different value, so you'll need to check to see if yours is eligible.

Verizon will issue the $1,100 credit over 36 months. So, be prepared to stick with the carrier for the next three years.

Look around before you commit

Carrier deals will often provide some of the best discounts, but the trade-off is that you need to stick with the carrier for a long period in order to get the full promotional credit. This round, Verizon is offering 48-month terms, which is one of the longest that we've seen. We urge you to look at other carriers and retailers before you commit. But, if this works for you, then we say why not.
