Tammy Slaton is opening up about the special moment fiancée Andrea Dalton popped the question.

Over a year after casually revealing their engagement on a podcast, the 1000-Lb. Sisters star, 39, is sharing new details about the proposal. In a video posted by TLC, Slaton and Dalton reflected on the milestone, the engagement ring and the life they’re excited to build together.

Slaton couldn’t help but gush over her engagement ring, telling Dalton, “I love my ring,” after being asked what she thought of it.

Dalton said she selected the ring with Slaton in mind.

“She likes all of those colors, so I was like, ‘Yeah, this is perfect,’ ” Dalton said of the princess-cut multicolor stone surrounded by an intricately designed halo.

The couple also looked back on the proposal itself, which took place during a horseback riding outing. Dalton joked that she wasn’t able to fully get down on one knee for the occasion, but said the moment was still a memorable one.

“The moment was great — it was for me — but I couldn’t get down on one knee all the way. But hey, you know, she liked it, right?” Dalton said.

For Slaton, the proposal was meaningful regardless of how it unfolded.

“The moment for me was, like, amazing. Even though, I mean, I’m not upset or mad or anything that you couldn’t get on one knee. Still was very meaningful for me,” she said. “You took me horseback riding and all the things, like it was perfect.”

Looking ahead, Slaton said she’s most excited about continuing to build a life together.

“Every day is a new adventure with her, so I’m just looking forward to tomorrow and the next day and living life with her and Kamala, our cat,” she said.

Dalton shared the same outlook, saying she’s looking forward to “making fun memories, good times,” and spending them together with their cat.

“All three of us together, we’re a little family,” she added.

The couple also teased that viewers will get to see more of their relationship play out on upcoming episodes of 1000-Lb. Sisters.

Slaton first revealed that she and Dalton were engaged during an appearance on the Creative Chaos podcast in June 2025. While describing what she likes to do when she’s not filming, the reality star casually referred to Dalton as her “fiancée,” prompting host Hunter Ezell to stop the conversation.

“Hold on, you said ‘fiancée?’ ” he asked.

Blushing, Slaton continued talking about the couple’s favorite low-key outings before eventually holding up her left hand to show off her engagement ring.

“Have mercy, that is so cute!” Ezell responded.

Fans were introduced to Dalton during season 7 of 1000-Lb. Sisters, after Slaton revealed she was dating someone new. Throughout the season, viewers watched the couple’s relationship blossom, from their first public bowling date to Slaton opening up about waiting to tell her family she was in a relationship with a woman because she wasn’t sure how they would react.

“I think I want to approach this relationship different than I have in the past, so I haven’t told my family because my family’s gonna have something to say about it,” Slaton said during the season.

Her concerns were ultimately met with support from her loved ones.

“If she makes you happy ... that’s all we want for each other is just to be happy. That’s all,” sister Amanda Halterman said. “But I don’t want none of us to stop looking for it. Don’t just settle. Don’t stop until you find exactly what you’re looking for.”

Misty Wentworth added, “It don’t matter to me,” while Slaton’s mother said, “If Andrea genuinely cares for Tammy and makes her happy, then I’ll be happy with her.”

Dalton also shared during the season that the pair met on a dating app and began talking every day shortly after they matched.

The relationship marked Slaton’s first public romance since the death of her husband, Caleb Willingham, in July 2023.

In 2021, Slaton came out as pansexual, explaining on 1000-Lb. Sisters that “love is love.”

“I would date anybody whether they’re transgender, straight, gay ... It’s about how they make me feel, not how they look,” she said.
