so, I realize we’re only three episodes into Married at First Sight season 20, but I’m still already dying to know: Whose marriages are going to last? For the landmark season, Peacock is following seven couples who’ve agreed to marry each other sight unseen, but the two new experts and larger-than-average cast aren’t the only two changes being made this season. According to Married at First Sight super sleuth @mafsfan, this season’s marriages allegedly aren’t legally binding.
In an Instagram Story, @mafsfan revealed, “I have heard from multiple sources that for the first time in Married at First Sight (US) history, the weddings are NOT legal marriages. It’s possible they may have signed a marriage license on the wedding day, but if it wasn’t filed (legally recorded) in the courthouse within 60 days, the marriage is not legal.” Iiiinteresting!
It’s been reported that the television weddings (legally binding or not) were filmed back in September 2025, and while fans won’t know for sure what has happened in the past 10 months until the reunion airs on August 27, here’s the (reported) tea on where this season’s couples stand.
BelleJolie Force and Mecca Amen
Current status: (Reportedly) not together
Not sure why things didn’t pan out for these two (they seem like such a good match IMO!), but according to the @mafsfan Instagram account, BelleJolie and Mecca are no longer together. For what it’s worth: BelleJolie’s vibe on Instagram is kind of giving “it didn’t work out.”
While Mecca is still playing it coy.
Courteney Landis and Nick Uhlenhuth
Current status: (Reportedly) not together
While Nick and Courteney still follow each other on Instagram (and have both been posting up a storm on social media with BTS content), @mafsfan reports that their marriage was short-lived. Nick did, however, recently reveal his first impression of Courteney:
While Courteney is sharing lots of cute pics of what you missed.
Caitlin Grimm and Devin Short
Current status: (Reportedly) not together
Yep, another one bites the dust. Per the @mafsfan Instagram account, Caitlin was the one to end things, and she ended up breaking up with Devin “10 days prior to Decision Day.” Since then, Cait has posted little about her time on MAFS, save for a few casual mentions.
While Devin has been out and about doing karaoke with fellow MAFS cast member Nick.
Nikki Jefferson and Shawn Best
Current status: (Reportedly) not together
Rumor has it (according to the @mafsfan Instagram account, anyway) that Nikki and Shawn only make it through “a few episodes” before calling things off. Time will tell what actually goes down, but in the meantime, pls enjoy these BTS pics and clips from Nikki:
Or go ahead and get yourself a Cameo message from Shawn.
Tori Dahl and Felipe Cruz
Current status: (Reportedly) not together
Again, it’s not clear what caused this pair to call it quits, but @mafsfan has it on good authority that the love didn’t last for Tori and Felipe. So far, Tori has only made a few light jokes about the experience on Instagram:
While Felipe is lamenting the fact that he’s now getting “roasted on a daily basis” by MAFS fans.
Michelle Le and Cameron Mitchell
Current status: (Reportedly) still together!
Rejoice, because it seems that at least one MAFS season 20 couple is still going strong. The @mafsfan Instagram account reports that Michelle and Cameron are an item as of July 2026.
What’s more: According to public record, the two applied for a marriage license in October 2025 and had a second (official) wedding in December 2025, so it seems like they’re the real deal.
That said, I have yet to spot any evidence of this on their respective Instagrams, since Cameron shares little that isn’t about basketball/his coaching career:
And Michelle has been sharing lots of content from girls’ trips but none from romantic getaways (though it looks like she miiiiight be wearing a ring on *that* finger in this post):
Marissa Meyer and Adam Dehmlow
Current status: (Reportedly) not together
Despite crossing paths before meeting (again) at the altar, it seems things didn’t work out for these two. On the MAFS subreddit, it was revealed that Adam and Marissa’s marriage “only lasted two weeks and they had to keep it a secret until the reunion.”
The reported reason? Per the tipster: “He broke it off after two weeks because her lifestyle wasn’t active enough for him and apparently the intimacy wasn’t working either.”
Interestingly, they both seem to have spent time with Brody Jenner since filming MAFS (Adam and Marissa posted separate photos of themselves posing with him at the same Seattle event), but that could have just been a coincidence.
