The international accreditation celebrates high standards in cleanliness, safety, and community involvement with the Green Flag Award scheme celebrating its 30th anniversary.
Among the winners announced by Dacorum Borough Council, is Gadebridge Park, which has now received the award for three years in a row.
The other parks and green spaces to retain the award are:
> Bunkers Park.
> The Water Gardens in Hemel Hempstead.
> Canal Fields in Berkhamsted.
> Chipperfield Common.
> Tring Memorial Gardens.
“These awards are a testament to the hard work of its staff, volunteers, local organisations, and community groups who help maintain and improve these beautiful spaces,”
said Cllr Robin Bromham, Portfolio Holder for Neighbourhood Operations at Dacorum Borough Council.
“We’re incredibly proud that six of our parks and green spaces have once again been recognised with Green Flag Awards.
“We know how much our green spaces mean to residents and our communities. They support physical and mental wellbeing, encourage people to be active and connect with nature.
“Congratulations to everyone who has helped secure this prestigious award for another year, which highlights our continued commitment to protecting and improving these much-loved spaces for the whole community.”
The Green Flag Award Scheme is run by the environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy.
Any green space that is freely accessible to the public is eligible to enter for a Green Flag Award. Awards are given on an annual basis, and winners must apply each year to renew their Green Flag Award status. A
