Reader urges Manistee County voters to renew the Council on Aging millage, citing senior meals, activities and health services.
TO THE EDITOR:
I'm writing to encourage the citizens of Manistee County to vote yes for the millage renewal for the Manistee County Council on Aging.
The senior center, run by the council on aging, provides a place for seniors to socialize and join in different activities such as bingo, board games, exercise classes and so much more. There also is a weekly blood pressure clinic.
If you get hungry, you can eat lunch there for $3 if you're a senior or $5 if not.
