New York Jets owner chairman Woody Johnson and his wife, Suzanne, opened their private suite to dozens of A-listers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup final on Sunday, July 19, welcoming guests like Jon Hamm, Anna Wintour, Tobey Maguire and Anya-Taylor Joy for Spain’s 1-0 win over Argentina at New York New Jersey Stadium (a.k.a. MetLife Stadium) in New Jersey.
“The Final created a moment that will forever live in the memories of the 81,000 fans roaring inside MetLife Stadium and the billions watching around the world,” Johnson, 79, tells PEOPLE of the event.
“For the last few weeks, America opened its doors to the world’s game and the world showed up, filling our stadiums and streets with an energy this country won’t forget,” Johnson adds.
For the final match of the global soccer tournament, newly minted Knicks champions Josh Hart and Miles “Deuce” McBride mingled with the likes of Diplo, Jack Harlow, Karlie Kloss, Ashley Graham, Winnie Harlow, Michael Porter Jr., Shane Gillis and more inside Johnson’s suite.
The star-studded group watched as Spain captured its first World Cup win in the men’s tournament since 2010.
Throughout this year’s World Cup, Johnson’s suite became one of the biggest celebrity hot spots, attracting high-profile guests at each match at the New Jersey venue.
Previous guests included Knicks captain and NBA Finals MVP Jalen Brunson, teammates Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby, Wayne Gretzky, Tate McRae, Drew Taggart of The Chainsmokers, Ellie Goulding, Kit Harington, Shaun White, Alexandra Daddario, Paul Wesley, Toni Garrn, Grace Ann Nader, and Chase Sui Wonders, among others.
“It was an honor for Suzanne and I to host so many wonderful friends, fans and guests,” Johnson says.

More than 80,000 spectators took in Sunday’s World Cup final from New York New Jersey Stadium, where the first-ever final halftime show took place. Madonna, Justin Bieber, Shakira and BTS were among those who took the field, with the performance supporting the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. The program aims to expand access to sports and education initiatives for children in underserved communities.
