As part of their packed US schedule, SB19 is set to make history as the first Filipino group to throw a ceremonial first pitch at a Major League Baseball (MLB) game.

The five-member group will take part in the pre-game ceremony during the Chicago White Sox vs. New York Yankees matchup on July 29 at Rate Field in Chicago.

The historic appearance was revealed through SB19’s Global Promo Tour schedule, which the group shared on Instagram on July 19.

The calendar outlines a series of high-profile engagements across the United States throughout July and August, underscoring the group’s expanding international presence.

Accompanying the announcement, SB19 wrote, “The calendar is set. The climb continues. One nation behind us. The world before us.”

With the ceremonial first pitch, SB19 joins a distinguished group of Filipino personalities who have previously been invited to participate in the longstanding MLB tradition.

Boxing icon Manny Pacquiao, actress Liza Soberano and comedian Jo Koy are among the notable Filipinos who have thrown ceremonial first pitches before Major League Baseball games.

SB19 US schedule

The MLB appearance comes in the middle of a busy promotional run in the United States. Before stepping onto the baseball field, SB19 and 1Z Entertainment will host their first-ever private fan event in Los Angeles on July 24.

The exclusive gathering is expected to celebrate the group’s current era while giving fans an intimate experience before the members head to their next major engagements.

The following week, on July 28, SB19 is scheduled to visit the Grammy Museum, another notable stop that reflects the group’s growing recognition beyond the Philippines.

Just a day after making MLB history, SB19 will perform at Lollapalooza on July 30, becoming one of the featured acts at one of the world’s most prestigious music festivals.

The performance is expected to further introduce P-pop to international audiences and continues the group’s steady climb in the global music scene.

Their US itinerary will continue into August with appearances at “I Was There Thanksgiving USA” on Aug. 8 and 9.
