Jessie J has revealed that she has parted ways with her boyfriend Chanan Colman three years after the birth of their son.
Jessie first began dating former basketball player back in 2021 after meeting on celeb dating app Raya. They welcomed their son Sky, three, in May 2023.
But now in a lengthy statement on social media, the singer shared that they had decided to call their relationship quits 'some time ago' and that it has been a 'sad and difficult situation'.
The 'Bang, Bang' hitmaker, 38, said they have been focusing on 'navigating the change privately and positively' so that they can create a 'healthy and happy co parenting environment' for him.
She continued: 'Unfortunately being in the public eye this is the easiest way to let people know the truth, before rumours circulate or a false narrative is written.'
Also in the heartfelt post she said that they will continue supporting each other with 'love, respect and care' as friends and as mum and dad to their little boy.
'So if you see us out and about together as a family, or posting each other on socials every now and again. That’s exactly what we are doing,' she explained.
She concluded by sharing their goal of 'raising and loving Sky together, supported with a positive friendship'.
The singer and the former basketball player were first linked in 2021.
He has been by her side throughout her breast cancer journey.
Speaking about him last May, she said: 'He has exceeded my expectations as a father beyond my imagination. I’m so grateful that he is so present and just so willing to adapt around obviously my career.'
