No rockstar of the '70s era has become more synonymous with political work than Roger Waters, the legendary bassist and principle songwriter of Pink Floyd. Waters has been a vocal political activist for decades now, even going as far as speaking at the United Nations.
Much of Waters' career has morphed into this more activism focused approach, with him dedicating a lot of his musical and personal energy to standing for the causes he believes in. This has led him to carry his platform wherever he can, no matter how unlikely it may be.
This leads to his new interview with a very surprising host: Tucker Carlson. Waters has always found himself on the left side of the political spectrum, which is what made his meeting with the right wing media personality a bit surprising. On this show, Waters weighed in on 9/11, and about how he doesn't believe the events are what they seem to be.
Waters is pushing the common conspiracy theory that the towers were detonated as opposed to solely destroyed by the airplanes. This is a theory that many people have latched onto over the years although there is no officially backed evidence to support that idea.
"There is no way the North and South towers and Building Seven came down because of airplanes hitting. Just not possible," Waters vehemently stated.
Fans were shocked by the statements, taking to the comments to share their offense and anger at the claims made in the video.
