One of Miami’s rookies is not yet ready to participate in training camp, though it is not a surprise.
The Dolphins announced on Tuesday that receiver Chris Bell has been placed on the active/non-football injury list.
Bell, a third-round pick out of Louisville, suffered a torn ACL in November of last season. Because the injury occurred at the college level, he’s on NFI instead of the physically unable to perform list.
Despite suffering the injury, Bell was still a first-team All-ACC honoree in 2025.
While Miami’s rookies reported to training camp on Tuesday, the club’s veterans do not report until July 28.
