For Real Madrid this has been a very active summer when it comes to their youngsters. The club has already sold over eight young players bringing in well over €130 million. As being reported by theMadridZone on X, Gonzalo Garcia is set to stay at Real Madrid this season putting an end to any speculation about the future of the striker at the Bernabeu. Gonzalo set on this pre-season to win over Jose Mourinho and convince him that he belongs in the squad and to the delight of fans, Gonzalo has smashed that goal before even playing a pre-season game.

For Real Madrid fans this news will come as a collective sigh of relief. The team is in desperate need of a natural target man like Gonzalo so keeping him only strengthens the attack and if there's any coach that will know how to get the best out of Gonzalo and turn him into a machine, it's Jose Mourinho.
Gonzalo made himself known to Real Madrid fans during last summer's FIFA Club World Cup when he filled in for Kylian Mbappe and had quite the tournament to remember. He took home the tournament golden boot grabbing four goals and one assists in six matches, scoring the winner in a 1-0 win over Juventus in the round of 16.
Once the regular season started his starting role became somewhat limited but he was a regular substitute for Xabi Alonso and took full advantage of the minutes he got, grabbing four goals and two assists, including a jaw-dropping hat-trick against Real Betis. His playing time took a major hit when Arbeloa took over which led many to question his future at the Bernabeu, but those questions seem to have been answered and it is the answer everyone wanted.
As mentioned earlier the team needs a classic target man like Gonzalo just has they had with the like of Karim Benzema and Raul and that is exactly what the 22-year-old brings to the table. This will allow Vinicius Jr and Kylian Mbappe to do the hard work of beating the defenders and be able to swing a ball in to a striker in the box, something we've seen very little of the last two seasons.
