Queen Elizabeth II gave a glimpse into the bond between Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

During a church service in Sandringham in January 2018, the late leader of England was heard speaking to Ellen Clay about the close relationship her grandchildren have.

Elizabeth claimed Charlotte ‘looked after’ George

According to HELLO!, Elizabeth asked Clay, who is the mother of two daughters, if the older child looked after the younger one.

“It’s the other way around,” Clay told the monarch.

“It’s like that with Charlotte and George,” Elizabeth disclosed.

“She asked if Emily [her older daughter] looked after Hadleigh [her younger daughter] and I said it was more the other way round. She said it was like that with Princess Charlotte and Prince George,” Clay told the publication.

“The Queen was implying that Charlotte keeps an eye out for George rather than the other way around. It is often the case that a younger child is more confident. It is second child syndrome,” she explained.

Kate gives a glimpse into George and Charlotte’s dynamic

Kate Middleton made a similar remark about her eldest kids during the unveiling of a war memorial commemorating the men and women who had served in both Iraq and Afghanistan in 2017.

“Charlotte is growing up really fast,” the Princess of Wales told Samantha Burge, the spouse of a Warrant Officer Class 2 Chris Burge.

“She is the one in charge,” Kate admitted about George and Charlotte.

William talks life with his kids

Prince William has also given the world a taste of what life is like at home with George, Charlotte and Prince Louis.

“We sit and chat, it’s really important. None of our children have any phones, which we’re very strict about,” he told Eugene Levy during an appearance on The Reluctant Traveler.

“Louis is obsessed with trampolining. Charlotte ends up jumping up and down on the trampoline, beating each other up, most of the time,” the Prince of Wales continued. “Apparently, there is an art to it. Charlotte does her netball as well and her ballet and so keeping them busy with sports and being outdoors is really important. They’re trying to learn musical instruments. I’m not sure how successful we’re being with that. George loves his football and his hockey.”
