The last line of defense against Godzilla, Knull, and Knull's army of symbiote-possessed heroes and villains is Doctor Doom and his Avengers of Doom. The Avengers of Doom include characters as powerful as the time-manipulating Kang, the telepathic powerhouse Emma Frost, and the guardian of the Nexus of All Realities, Man-Thing. The Punisher isn't nearly as strong as colleagues like the Human Torch or Ghost Rider, so he gains a massive enhancement to compensate. The Punisher pilots a mecha Fin Fang Foom, retrieved from a far-off universe where the Red Skull wiped out his Earth's population.
Doctor Doom and the Avengers of Doom plan to create a group of the multiverse's most powerful kaiju and pit them against Godzilla, Knull, and Knull's followers. The metallic Fin Fang Foom is perhaps one of the heroes' best assets, as it seemingly possesses Fin Fang Foom's abilities plus a variety of additional weapons capable of taking down huge monsters, not unlike the Mecha-Godzilla that Doctor Doom commands in his universe. This might make Frank Castle an invaluable hero in a timeline where not even the biggest powerhouses, like the Silver Surfer and Hulk, were able to stop the King of the Monsters and the God of the Symbiotes.

Frank Castle Doesn't Upgrade To Full-Fledged Superhero Because He Doesn't Want To
The Punisher holds the label of a purely street-level vigilante, but his history reveals a character with an extraordinary ability to adapt to almost any battlefield. Frank Castle's military background and tactical intelligence have allowed him to survive conflicts that extend far beyond organized crime. Throughout the years, the Punisher has piloted advanced combat vehicles and military hardware, hacked or repurposed futuristic technology, and turned enemies' own futuristic or mystical weapons against them. He has fought alongside and against the Avengers and confronted Spider-Man, Wolverine, Daredevil, and their superhuman or non-human enemies.
The clearest indication of Frank Castle's potential comes from the occasions when he has accepted powers beyond ordinary human limits. During Punisher: Purgatory, Frank worked as Heaven's supernatural agent with angelic abilities, and in an alternate future timeline, a seasoned version of the Punisher transformed into one of Marvel's most powerful antiheroes by combining the Spirit of Vengeance with the Power Cosmic as the Cosmic Ghost Rider. Other stories have equipped him with War Machine armor and transformed him into the undead Franken-Castle. Yet, the Punisher always rejects all power-ups and returns to his usual crusade, as his mission has always centered on a direct, personal war against crime.
