Jennifer Aniston is a fan of Courteney Cox's career pivot.
In fact, she applauded her Friends costar's work as a director and producer on Evil Genius—an upcoming crime thriller starring Cox's former sister-in-law Patricia Arquette based on the Netflix docuseries of the same name—after it was added to the Toronto International Film Festival lineup.
Re-sharing a post from Cox about the movie, Aniston wrote on Instagram Story July 21 alongside emojis of red hearts and clapping hands, "My girl!"
"So proud of you!!" the 57-year-old continued in the comments section of the Cox's post, which her friend captioned, "When you really believe in something… don’t ever give up. Dreams can come true."
Indeed, the Morning Show star has been a longtime champion of Cox. As she put it during the 62-year-old's Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in 2023, "To be friends with Courteney is to be family with Courteney."
"She is responsible for all of that," Aniston continued in a speech with their Friends castmate Lisa Kudrow. "From the beginning of when we met her, she was immediately inclusive, warm, loving, interested in everything about you."

"We're sisters from another mister," she shared, "and we love you."
And through the years, the pair have remained each other's lobsters, with Aniston serving as godmother to Cox and ex David Arquette's 22-year-old daughter Coco.
"Coco calls me Nuna," Aniston revealed in a 2010 interview with GM TV. "I see her almost every weekend and she's really turning into such a lovely little girl. She's sweet, funny and creative and we just sit there in awe of her."
The Murder Mystery actress also has what she described as a "love language" with Cox.
"We usually talk interior design," Aniston told People in 2025. "It kind of bores people to tears when we get into a room together. But it's what we love."
