Polish center Jakub Urbaniak has committed to BYU, a source told On3.
The 6-foot-9, 23-year-old big man averaged 7.7 points and 4.7 rebounds per game while shooting 60-percent from the field for Slask Wroclaw at the EuroCup.
Urbaniak projects to be BYU’s starting center for the 2026-27 season. He is the Cougars seventh newcomer, joining five-star small forward Bruce Branch III, Kentucky transfer guard Collin Chandler, and others.
The Cougars finished this past season with an overall record of 23-12, good enough for seventh in the Big 12. They earned a bid to the NCAA Tournament, before falling to No. 11-seed Texas in the first round.
