MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A tractor-trailer crash snarled traffic along the Capital Beltway in Montgomery County Tuesday night, prompting a response from a Hazmat crew.

Details are limited; however, the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service was dispatched to the crash on Interstate 495, between Coles Road and Georgia Avenue. Maryland State Police noted that troopers also responded to the area around 10:20 p.m. and that the incident involved one tractor-trailer.

Man in ‘critical condition’ after being struck by car in Montgomery County

Pictures from the scene showed a white truck off the side of the road and the front of the truck damaged.

Fire officials added that a Hazmat crew also responded to the crash and was assisting with a possible “fuel pump off.”

No injuries were reported.
