A two-vehicle crash on Route 30 closed all westbound lanes Thursday morning in York County, officials said.

The crash happened around 9 a.m. at westbound Route 30 near North Hills Road in Springettsbury Township, according to Ted Czech, spokesman for the York County Office of Emergency Management.

When crews arrived at the scene, a person was found trapped inside a vehicle, Czech said. They were removed from the vehicle at 9:34 a.m.

The westbound lanes have been shut down and traffic is being diverted to the Mount Zion Road exit, he said. The left shoulder is also blocked, though the right shoulder remains open, according to 511PA.

Details about the other vehicle involved were not immediately available.

The crash is expected to be clear at 11:24 a.m., 511PA reported.

Fire, EMS and Springettsbury Township police responded to the scene.

Drivers should expect delays and use alternate routes while crews work to clear the scene.

The cause of the crash is unclear.
