Suspect killed in officer-involved shooting near Ada

One man is dead after an officer-involved shooting near Ada, according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

No officers were hurt in the shooting that happened just before 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, according to officials.

OSBI confirmed they were requested by Chickasaw Lighthorse Police.

Investigators say the shooting was reported near the 16370 block of County Road 1587 in Pontotoc County.

OSBI later confirmed the suspect had died.

Officials have not released any details about what led up to the shooting.
