(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 21 - The two police officers who were restraining Abderrahim Fakir, a 42-year-old Moroccan man, when he died in Bologna on Sunday are devastated, their lawyer, Gabriele Bordoni, said on Tuesday. "They told me how the situation was handled and described, through their own eyes, the pain caused by the tragedy they witnessed: the death of a man," Bordoni said. "They are very young, sensitive lads, and naturally the death of a person is something that leaves you deeply shaken. "They explained the reasons for their intervention, the procedures followed, and their operational decisions - all of which seemed correct to me". He added that a video of the intervention published in the media "shows nothing excessive" in their conduct. (ANSA).
