Today's Connections answers
The Connections answers on July 23 for puzzle #1,138 are a bit easier than yesterday's puzzle, with the Connections Companion rating this puzzle's difficulty at 2 out of 5.

Admittedly, I finished today's puzzle, but it took a while. For some reason, I was just not making the connections.
The first one I saw was a month abbreviations puzzle that was a failure. But it enabled me to see febrile, frenetic, excited and intense. Then I got stuck for some time.
Eventually, I tried baseball, globe, marble and orange as round things.
I had seen the airport words in terminal, hangar, runway and apron, but for some reason wasn't willing to commit until now.
Finally, this left appoint, deplane, feline and jangle, which end in geometry terms. It's like that some days.

Today's puzzle features an obvious rock band set, which is a trick. I tend to put in the obvious sets because I feel that it's 50/50 whether it's actually a connection or a trick. However, when it is a trick, it's also usually a clue to how the four groups should be solved.
I started with White Stripes mostly because it was the first one I clicked on. Mane and hooves got me on the zebra trail with tail.
Hives was below White Stripes, so I went there next. Clearly it's allergies, so rash, itching, and redness were quick finds.
Vines got me to social media with tweets, snaps, and pins.
Which left the Strokes, with hole, par, and score for golfing.
